World Day for Safety and Health at Work

We are celebrating World Day for Safety and Health at Work by looking back at how we have kept customers safe over the last year
Safety in numbers

We are committed to keeping our customers safe, and today we are celebrating World Day for Safety and Health at Work (28 April).

Keeping you safe this year

We are proud of the work we have done this year keeping you safe in your homes. Whether it’s carrying out inspections, risk assessments or replacing dangerous or faulty equipment, our colleagues have been busy keeping you safe. You can find some examples of what we have been doing from April 2021 to March 2022 to keep you safe in the image below.

•	1,480 fire risk assessments •	172 legionella risk assessments •	1,290 asbestos inspections in communal areas •	22,280 gas safety checks •	5,380 electrical safety inspections

We have also reviewed how we keep you safe from legionella, fire and in lifts, so you can have the confidence that we are doing the right things to protect you. Our safety standards have also been reviewed and updated, which you can find here

We have also been working hard on safety, whilst Covid-19 restrictions have been in place, and we thank you for your support in keeping colleagues safe when visiting your homes for inspections, assessments and repairs.

Keeping yourself safe

As well as everything we do to keep you safe, there is so much you can do day-to-day to protect yourself and your home. To help keep you safe we launched Your safety in October 2021, a section of our website dedicated to providing you with information you can use to keep safe, as well as keeping you posted about what we are doing to keep you safe.

So far there have been a wide range of articles and resources posted, including:

We have also provided advice on staying safe at certain times of the year, for example when celebrating Bonfire Night or at Christmas.

We will be continuing to update Your safety with more useful advice and information, so be sure to check back regularly.
