Our Tenancy Sustainment team

We will work together with you to help maintain your tenancy, improve your sense of wellbeing and provide advice, guidance and support.

How we can support you

Our officers can provide up to 12 weeks of one-to-one support. We work closely with other departments, offering advice and guidance to customers and colleagues to assist you with your tenancy.

We can offer advice with:

  • Navigate the welfare benefits system, including Universal Credit and Housing Benefit.
  • Advise with managing your finances and budgeting skills.
  • To find specialist and appropriate external support available to you in times of difficulty.
  • Identifying any external grant funding that you may be eligible for in relation to items you may require for your home.
  • Support you with understanding your utility usage and energy costs.
  • Address tenancy issues with you and your Housing Officer. This can include hoarding, anti-social behaviour, or other issues affecting your ability to manage your tenancy.
  • Signpost to external specialist services and organisations to assist with any health and wellbeing concerns.

We operate a tenancy sustainment duty line between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Please note the line is closed on bank holidays. If you are experiencing any difficulties, like the ones mentioned above, you can call for advice.

Please call us on 01392 302 444 for advice.

You can also complete an online self-referral form.
