At LiveWest, we are committed to investing in our communities and helping them thrive. That’s why we have created this opportunity for non-profit organisations to apply for grants of up to £500.

These grants are designed to support community projects where the beneficiaries are receiving free or low-cost food or energy support. Our aim is to help local projects make a meaningful difference, making sure that those who need it most have access to important resources and support.

Examples of projects we can support include:

  • Surplus food projects to reduce food waste.
  • Food projects which offer low cost or free food.
  • General projects that also provide low-cost food, including youth projects and lunch clubs for older people.
  • Community farms who provide seasonal low-cost fruit & veg boxes.
  • Community energy advice sessions and drop in events to help households reduce energy bills.

Application

The fund is open for applications from 1 September 2025 – 31 October 2025.
Applications will be considered after the closing date, and we will confirm grant awards during November 2025.
Grants will be paid by BACS payment or by supermarket vouchers.
To apply for a grant, please fill out the form below with as much detail as possible.

Criteria

  • This is a limited fund, and applications will be reviewed based on a set criteria which includes the number of LiveWest properties within the project area.
  • Applications should clearly demonstrate the project’s established role in the community, outlining local involvement, collaborative partnerships, and how the project supports both the wider community including LiveWest customers.
  • If you have previously received support or funding from LiveWest, please ensure that your application clearly outlines the impact and outcomes achieved through this support.
  • We are unable to fund start up projects.
  • We would anticipate that funds are spent within a 6 month period.

Evaluation

Successful grant recipients will need to complete a grant evaluation form to showcase the impact of the funding.  A form will be sent to you by the grants team following the grant award with impact data to be returned by end of March 2026.
