Why have my Universal Credit payments gone down?

You may have deductions taken out of your claim. This could be for previous benefit overpayments, or for an advance payment you have received, or for payment arrears with council tax, or rent.  You can check if you have deductions by logging into your Universal Credit account and viewing your payments button. You will see all of your monthly payments in this list and how they have been calculated.
