From January, we will have new members joining our Estate Services team. These colleagues will take over some of the grounds maintenance work that was previously carried out by an outside company, IdVerde.
What this means for you
Our new grounds operatives will look after the shared outdoor spaces in our communities across the West of England and Somerset. They will work closely with our Estate team to make sure these areas are well cared for.
They will be responsible for:
- Cutting the grass
- Trimming and looking after hedges
- Caring for shrubs and flowerbeds in shared spaces
- Keeping communal areas neat, tidy, and enjoyable for everyone
Why we’re making this change
We want to improve how happy customers are with our grounds maintenance service. Even though we’ve made good progress with our rented and shared ownership homes, we know we can do more.
By bringing the service in-house, we can:
- Give you a more reliable and flexible service
- Build stronger relationships between customers and our team
- Make sure our customer-focused values guide the work we do
Our new service standard
To support this change, we are launching a service standard. This will clearly explain what you can expect from us when we look after communal areas — whether the work is done by contractors or our own team.
You can find the service standard here, and you can ask for a paper copy if you need one.
