Everyone at LiveWest has come together to raise awareness and funds to support Alzheimer’s Society and its vital role in providing support for people living with dementia and their families, funding research and campaigning for change.
Over the past year, our colleagues have come together to take part in a wide range of fundraising activities, from sponsored bike rides to pumpkin carving and cake-making competitions.
Together, our colleagues raised over £4,155 which, with LiveWest’s matched funding, brings the total to an incredible donation of £8,310 for the charity.
Debbie Russell, Wellbeing and Inclusion Adviser at LiveWest, said: “We’ve had a fantastic year supporting Alzheimer’s Society, and it’s been inspiring to see colleagues come together to support a cause that means so much to so many people.
“So many colleagues have gone the extra mile to make a difference, and that’s something we’re really proud of.
“Knowing that the money raised will go towards supporting people living with dementia and their families makes this achievement even more special. It’s been a brilliant team effort, and we’re delighted to have played our part in supporting such an important cause.”

The money raised will help Alzheimer’s Society continue its vital work supporting people living with dementia.
Through fundraising, the support we give helps to fund services such as expert advice through the Dementia Support Line, personal support from dementia advisers and safeguarding and specialist support for those who need it most.
These services provide practical help and reassurance to people and families at every stage of their dementia journey.

Claire Frost, Alzheimer’s Society Regional Fundraiser said a big thank you to LiveWest. She said: “We are so grateful that LiveWest chose to support Alzheimer’s Society as their charity of the year. Each hour people generously give to fundraise for us, every pound they donate, they’re making a life-changing difference to people living with dementia.
“Alzheimer’s Society provides vital support to people living with dementia, funds groundbreaking research and campaigns to make dementia the priority it should be. It will take a society to beat dementia.
“There are around a million people living with dementia in the UK including over 101,500 in the South West of England, including over 1,700 in Exeter alone. We all have a role to play in ending the devastation dementia causes.
“We simply can’t reach everyone who needs us without the continued support of our incredible supporters like the whole team at LiveWest.”
We look forward to sharing more updates on our Charity of the Year 2026/27 in the future.
