Neighbours and friends from across LiveWest’s communities in the south west came together to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee last week.

Seaward Way’s community group celebrated with a big Jubilee lunch on Friday 3 June at their Multi Use Games Area with residents young and old coming together to celebrate the momentous occasion.

A DJ from Bristol provided music and there was even entertainment from an ex-entertainer from nearby Butlins.

Barbara Seacombe, LiveWest resident and Seaward Way Community Group volunteer, said: “Our community group are passionate about providing events that everyone can join in on, we want them to be completely inclusive and have something of interest for everyone.

“There were special prizes of commemorative jubilee coins to lucky attendees. Thank you to Magna, Ide Verde, family, friendly, neighbours and Community Connector, Sally Hill, for your support.”

Sally Hill, Community Connector at LiveWest, said: “It’s great to see the community come together to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Barbara Seacombe has worked very hard to prepare a wonderful event for the community and she is very appreciated by the residents of all ages."

Partners and contributors include Magna Housing and Ideverde cleaned the area and issued the event with recycling and removed it afterwards.
