Named Kingfisher Green, the high-quality development will comprise a range of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes including 54 for shared ownership and social rent and 126 for private sale, to be sold under the Linden Homes brand.

The Exeter based office will deliver the £40m project in partnership with LiveWest (formerly DCH) and will form part of the wider construction of the new town in East Devon.

Work is due to commence this Summer with the first new homes, scheduled for completion early next year.

Andrew Johnston, Managing Director of Galliford Try Partnerships South West, said: “This scheme reflects the continued growth of Galliford Try Partnerships within the region and we are delighted to have secured planning permission to develop a range of new homes in the new town. The area is very popular with families and commuters and we expect our new homes to be snapped up.

“We have plans to bring forward a number of mixed tenure housing developments in partnership with registered providers across the South West in the coming months, further demonstrating the expertise that Galliford Try Partnerships offers within the sector.”

Our Director of Development, Gareth Jones said: “LiveWest is delighted to be working in partnership with Galliford Try to deliver this phase of 180 homes for open market sale, affordable rent and shared ownership at Cranbrook to further add to the investment we are making at this new town.

Cranbrook is a great example of our commitment to building much needed new homes and investing in the new community. As well as delivering housing, Cranbrook has provided new schools and created employment opportunities for local people bringing substantial investment into the local economy”

Partnerships South West has also submitted an application for reserved matters planning approval to develop 171 new homes on the banks of the River Tone in Taunton, which will provide a mixture of townhouses and apartments.
