A street of twenty-five new affordable homes has now been completed at our development in Tiverton, helping to meet growing local demand and deliver much-needed housing for the community.
This milestone marks a positive step forward as we continue our partnership with Allison Homes South West to deliver 70 high-quality affordable homes at Post Hill.
Once complete, the development will provide a mix of one- to four-bedroom properties, including homes for social rent, offering a range of housing options for local people as families and individuals begin settling into this growing community.
This latest handover also represents significant progress across the wider Post Hill scheme, with all remaining homes now topped out, demonstrating continued momentum towards the completion of the development.
The scheme is a major contribution from LiveWest, part of Bromford Flagship LiveWest, in addressing housing need in Tiverton and across Mid Devon, building on the successful delivery of 22 homes at Tumbling Fields earlier this year.
Gareth Jones, Development Director at LiveWest, said: “Reaching the completion of the first homes at Post Hill is an important milestone, and we are delighted to see this new community coming together.
“These high-quality, energy-efficient homes will provide much-needed housing, offering local people greater choice and the opportunity to remain close to the places and communities that matter most to them.
“We are proud to be delivering homes that are not only affordable, but designed to support strong, sustainable communities – whether helping people take their first step onto the property ladder or providing a safe, warm and secure home to rent. Each property has been built to a high standard, and we are pleased to welcome our new customers to this growing neighbourhood.”

Glyn Mabey, Managing Director of Allison Homes South West, added: “We are delighted to hand over the first completed street to LiveWest. Seeing the majority of these homes already occupied, with the final properties now ready to provide affordable rental opportunities, is a proud milestone for everyone involved.
“This handover reflects the strength of our partnership with LiveWest and our shared commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable homes for local people. It is extremely rewarding to see this new community taking shape.”
Councillor Jane Lock, Cabinet Member for Housing, Assets and Property Services at Mid Devon District Council, said: “Providing more affordable homes remains a key priority for the council, and we are continually exploring ways to address housing need across the district.
“By working closely with LiveWest and Allison Homes from an early stage, we were able to provide land to support this development and help deliver much-needed homes for local people. I am delighted that the first properties will soon become homes for residents in our community.”
The development has benefited from grant funding from Homes England, the Government’s housing and regeneration agency.
Shahi Islam, Director of Affordable Housing Grants at Homes England, said: “Increasing the supply of high-quality affordable homes remains one of our key priorities, and we are committed to supporting LiveWest in delivering its ambitions.
“Post Hill demonstrates the value of strong partnership working through the Affordable Homes Programme, creating places that people can be proud to call home.”
Post Hill has been designed to create a sustainable and welcoming community, with all homes achieving a minimum EPC rating of B (86), helping to reduce energy consumption and lower household running costs.
Homes are heated by air source heat pumps, supporting the transition to low-carbon living, while many properties also include electric vehicle charging points. Improved pedestrian routes will also enhance connectivity to local bus services.
Further updates will be shared as the development continues to progress.
