If you were born before 28 June 1980 you could get between £100 and £300 to help you pay your heating bills for winter 2026 to 2027. This is known as a ‘Winter Fuel Payment’.
Pension Credit gives you extra money to help with your living costs if you’re over State Pension age and on a low income. Pension Credit can also help with housing costs such as ground rent or service charges. Find out more.

The Warm Home Discount Scheme is a one-off £150 discount off your electricity bill.
The Scheme is now closed for 2025/26 but will reopen in October 2026.
If you’re eligible, your electricity supplier will apply the discount to your bill. The money is not paid to you.
You will usually get the discount automatically if you’re eligible.
