Carn Brea Foyer provides accommodation for up to 23 young people aged between 16-24 years. Among these, thirteen flats are designated as emergency accommodation units utilised by Cornwall Housing and Social Services, while the remaining eight flats are allocated for Foyer placements. The foyer also has 2 crash pads.
The physical layout of the facility involves a main entrance leading to colleague office area and corridors providing access to the Foyer accommodation. The flats are splits into eight self-contained flats and seven flats, featuring two self-contained and five shared flats, these are equipped with bedrooms featuring en-suite bathrooms and shared kitchen/living areas.
Outdoor amenities include large garden space furnished with garden furniture, as well as a dedicated bike store in the shed.
We also have an office and smaller quiet rooms as well as communal recreational spaces accessible round the clock, including a recreational room furnished with a pool table, table tennis table, darts board, and a TV/PlayStation setup. Comfortable seating arrangements including sofas and beanbags encourage socialisation and professional meetings in a relaxed environment.
Our support team are based on site and is 24 hour with a waking night intensive housing worker.
Referrals for the foyer are via Cornwall Council’s Youth Homelessness Team.
