Domestic Abuse
Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, background, or circumstance, and it often occurs behind closed doors, making it difficult to recognise or seek help. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, support is available, and reaching out to a trusted organisation or professional can be an important first step toward safety and recovery.
If you, or someone you know, is in immediate danger, call 999 and ask for the police. Silent calls will work if you are not safe to speak. Use the Silent Solution system and call 999 and then press 55 when prompted.
As a housing provider, we are committed to supporting residents affected by domestic abuse by offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental service. We can help by providing advice, working with you to improve your safety at home, exploring housing options where needed, and connecting you with specialist support services. Our priority is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and supported in making the choices that are right for you. You can view our full policy here.
