What will my hours of work be like?
Full time contracted hours are 37 hours a week for our colleagues, except field based Inhouse Maintenance Service (IMS) colleagues who are contracted hours to 40 hours. This difference is because IMS colleagues are paid from the time they leave home, to compensate them for the time it takes to travel to and from their first and last customer appointment. Those on 37 hour contracts are paid from the time they start at their contractual place of work.
Colleagues who work less than 37/40 hours a week are part time. Their salary, annual leave and any other related terms, conditions and benefits are adjusted accordingly.
Overtime
At LiveWest we encourage flexible working where possible and overtime is normally used as a last resort within the business, and subject to manager authorisation in advance.
For overtime to be payable, colleagues must have worked their full time contractual week of 37 hours (40 hours for IMS colleagues). Any part time colleagues working overtime must have worked 37/40 hours before the hourly rate is increased. Overtime is paid one month in arrears.
For all colleagues (except field based IMS) overtime is paid at a flat rate and is considered if working before 7am or after 7pm on weekday, time and half on Saturdays and double time for Sunday or on a bank holiday.
