If you would like to get full fibre broadband in your home, there is a process you will need to follow. This is because there are a number of companies involved in this, including LiveWest, and we need to work together to make sure the installation runs smoothly and safely.

Please find the steps you need to follow below.

  • Contact a provider such as BT, EE or Virgin to ask if Full Fibre Broadband is available in your area.
  • New fibre optic cables will need to be installed and the provider will organise for a survey to be carried out.
  • Please let LiveWest know by emailing FibreBroadband@livewest.co.uk and tell us which provider or installer is carrying out the survey. It is important LiveWest are informed of this survey so we can advise on whether asbestos is located in the area where drilling might take place.
  • We will also need to be sent the proposed route of the new cables by the installers. We will review the route and aim to return any feedback to the installer within five days for houses. This can be longer for flats or more complex buildings to assess fire risks, potentially up to six weeks.
  • Once the route has been agreed, installation of the fibre optic cables can begin.

If you have any additional questions about the process, please contact us on: FibreBroadband@livewest.co.uk.
