Our funding and volunteers helped to set up a new job club in Cornwall
As part of our continued commitment to supporting our customers and local communities, we were so pleased to have played a significant part in the setup of a new job club in Par, Cornwall.
LiveWest supported Par Bay Community Trust in securing funding from the Big Local Lottery Fund. The funding has been used help small businesses and job seekers to use Cornubia Hall as an office meeting space and Wi-Fi hotspot. LiveWest provided funding of £2000 which was used to purchase of computers for the job club. LiveWest staff volunteers also helped to refurnish the space which has now transformed into a great working environment.
Sonia Clyne from Par Bay Community Trust said: ‘’We were so grateful for the support that we received from LiveWest in setting up the job club in Par. They helped us purchase the computers and even provided three volunteers to help us decorate the space.’’
Mai Evans, Community Investment Worker said: “Our volunteers loved working on this inspiring project. This new job club and office space will greatly benefit our customers as well as the rest of the Par community.”
