LiveWest staff put in valuable volunteering hours at Broadclyst Community Farm

02 June 2018

Our staff volunteers made a real difference at Broadclyst Community Farm, Devon, where they recently planted trees and created a new hedgerow. It was hard work but this was also an educational opportunity to understand how the farm is used to educate young people about food production.

Lesley Browne, LiveWest Community Development Worker said: ''I could see that LiveWest staff enjoyed volunteering at the farm and helping out near our community of Cranbrook. It’s such a wonderful environment to gain knowledge about food production and growing. We love supporting projects like this as it fits in with our LiveWest Community Investment values like healthy living and wellbeing.''

Jonathan Smye, Broadclyst Community Farm Trustee said: “Thank you to all the LiveWest staff volunteers who come along to Broadclyst Community Farm. The volunteers brought real energy and enthusiasm to all the tasks performed during the three days. They have made a significant difference to the farm and they really encouraged our regular volunteers and visitors.”

Volunteering plays a large role in our communities, bringing people together and making things happen.

Well done to our brilliant staff volunteers for their hard work!
