LiveWest proudly support Mental Health Awareness Week with fun Walk, Talk and Strawberry Cream Tea event
Our staff and customers recently enjoyed a group walk around Tavistock, Devon in aid of Mental Health Awareness Week. Customers enjoyed taking in the sights around Tavistock Park and the Tavistock Community Sensory Garden, followed by a tasty strawberry cream tea.
Whilst tucking into some clotted cream and scones, attendees listened to a talk by June Wildman, Chairman of Tavistock Memory Café who spoke about what the café does in the local area to support those diagnosed with dementia. LiveWest customers also collected money during the event to help raise funds for the Tavistock Memory Cafe. LiveWest provided funding of £35 to cover the cost of the delicious strawberry cream tea treats and make this event possible.
Shonac Young, LiveWest Resident Engagement Adviser said: ''We had a lovely stroll in the sunshine together. This also gave customers the opportunity to meet and chat to others from nearby schemes, not to mention enjoy a hot cuppa and find out more about Tavistock Memory Cafe.”
