A great community clean up event took place this month in Camborne, Cornwall, where customers spent the day clearing litter and bulky waste from around their neighbourhood. We funded two rubbish skips for customers to use for the day, which they used to tidy up their homes and communal areas.
Mai Evans, LiveWest Community Connector said: ''The litter pick has really engaged young people at the start of the summer holidays and has helped them to see where they can make improvements to the communal areas. After the success of this event, I see great potential for further community events in this area such as running regular afterschool plant-to-plate sessions.’’
One LiveWest customer who took part in the clean up said: ‘’I thought it was one of the best days here for ages. Everyone was helping each other and we all had loads of good ideas.’’
